Mashatu Lodge is in the remote northern area of Mashatu Game Reserve; a privately owned wildlife sanctuary situated at the confluence of the Shashe and Limpopo rivers in the northern Tuli area of Botswana. The area is rich in both game and bird life.

Mashatu Lodge is in the remote northern area of the reserve and comprises 14 suites, two of which are interconnecting and ideal as a family room. Each suite has en-suite facilities and a lounge area from which you can watch the surrounding bush for game within air-conditioned comfort. There is a pool, deck, boma, bar, lounge and dining area.
Wildlife & Activities
The Mashatu area is famous for elephants which live in large herds. There are also lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, wild dog as well as many plains antelope. Along with traditional vehicle based game viewing activities, guests can (at an extra cost) take guided bush walks, or explore the area by mountain bike. There is the opportunity to visit the ‘elephant hide’ which is at ground level by a waterhole frequented by elephants and lots of other wildlife. Pre-booking this unforgettable, and possibly wet, experience is advised.
