Mashatu Tented Camp
Mashatu Tented Camp in Mashatu Game Reserve is a privately owned wildlife sanctuary situated at the confluence of the Shashe and Limpopo rivers in the northern Tuli area of Botswana. The area is rich in both game and bird life.
Accommodation & Facilities
Mashatu Tented Camp is in the remote northern area of the reserve and accommodates just 16 guests at any time. Each tent has en-suite facilities and is simply but comfortably furnished. There is a plunge pool, a hide, a boma, and a bar and dining area.
Wildlife & Activities
The Mashatu area is famous for elephants which live in large herds. There are also lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, wild dog as well as many plains antelope. As well as traditional game drives, guests can (at an extra cost) use specialist photographic hides on the reserve, take guided bush walks, go for a guided mountain bike safari, or a horse riding safari. Visits to some interesting archaeological sites in the reserve and local communities can also be arranged. It is advisable to book the additional activities in advance.
