Matetsi Victoria Falls

Matetsi Victoria Falls has a beautiful riverside setting in the Matetsi Private Game Reserve just 40km upstream from the famous Victoria Falls.  The 55,000 hectare private concession is home to an array of wildlife and has a private 15km stretch of Zambezi River frontage.

Accommodation & Facilities
Matetsi Victoria Falls comprises two intimate camps of nine river-facing suites each, including two interconnecting family suites.   Both camps have a spacious guest area which includes a variety of dining spaces, an interactive kitchen, a relaxed bar and al fresco seating encircling a blazing fire bowl.  The spacious air-conditioned suites boast en-suite bathrooms, as well as an outdoor shower.  A private veranda, complete with plunge pool, provides a comfortable sitting area with superb river views.  There are two gift shops, a fitness centre, a library, massage sala, a wine cellar and an infinity swimming pool.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests staying here can enjoy land and water based safari activities including day and night game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, fishing, and sunrise and sunset boat cruises.  There are large herds of elephant and buffalo in the area as well as hippo, lion, wild dog, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, crocodile, and plentiful antelope species.  It’s also a great spot for bird watching with some 366 species recorded.   As well as activities in the private reserve the lodge offers easy access to the Victoria Falls and the many adventures on offer there.
