Oliver’s Camp

Oliver’s Camp has a spectacular location deep inside Tarangire National Park in the heart of Maasailand in northern Tanzania. Overlooking a flood plain and the Minyonyo Pools, part of the Tarangire River, the camp has easy access to a dense concentration of wildlife.

Accommodation & Facilities
Oliver’s Camp is an authentic, traditional safari camp, and very comfortable. The camp has 15 privately positioned safari tents in two wings, with ten tents on one side and the other five set a little way apart, with the wings linked by a raised walkway. The camp has two family tents with two en-suite bedrooms. The tents all have open sided en-suite bathrooms and views of the floodplain in front, and are decorated with beautiful furnishings, solid wooden furniture. The dining and lounge areas offer a relaxing respite from adventures out in the surrounding National Park. The camp also has a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off, and a sun-downer deck.

Wildlife & Activities
Tarangire is noted for its large numbers of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and eland, which migrate into the Park from the Masai Steppe during the dry season. It’s also home to more than 350 species of birds. Oliver’s Camp offers day and night wildlife drives, walking safaris, and fly camping. The guiding is of a high standard, and there are a huge variety of mammals and birds that inhabit this diverse area, so wildlife viewing by open vehicle is excellent. Fly camping is a terrific way in which to experience the wilderness here, and should be pre-booked.
