Onguma Tree Top Camp

Onguma Tree Top Camp is a small, intimate camp in the Onguma Game Reserve which borders the eastern side of Etosha National Park. The reserve covers some 34,000 hectares, supporting variety of habitats and has good wildlife populations.

Accommodation & Facilities
The three comfortably appointed tented chalets and two Tree Nests at Onguma Tree Top Camp are built on wooden stilts among the tree tops and offer great views over the nearby waterhole. The thatched rooms have canvas sides that can be opened to expose the surrounding wilderness, and they have en-suite bathrooms as well as wonderful private outside showers, and a deck which makes a great spot for relaxing in between wildlife viewing activities. The Tree Nests also have a small lounge and a private plunge pool on their outside viewing decks. The centrally located lodge opens out completely towards the waterhole, though canvas sides can be lowered if the weather is inclement. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge or by the fire place. The kitchen is open plan so guests can watch whilst the chef conjures up tasty dishes on an open fire. The boma is just off the lounge and provides a good vantage point from which to view the wildlife that frequents the waterhole during the day.

Wildlife & Activities
The Onguma Reserve is home to good numbers of plains wildlife as well as rhino, leopard and lion, and more than 300 bird species. Activities offered include guided wildlife drives in Etosha National Park, and day and evening drives and guided walks on the Onguma reserve.
