Pafuri Walking Trails

Pafuri Walking Trails offers fantastic access to the 24,000 hectare Makuleke Community Concession in the far north of the Kruger National Park. Walking Trails is based in a seasonal mobile safari camp which can be located in various parts of the concession, in accordance with guests’ interests and length of stay.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp has just four tents which are of a mini-Meru design, with open air en-suite bathrooms featuring traditional safari showers. There is an open sided dining tent, and a fire place. Meals are often eaten outside in the shade of the big trees under which the camp is positioned.

Wildlife & Activities
Walking safaris are the focus of activities at Pafuri Walking Trails, and they vary in length from a couple of hours to four or five days. Thanks to the wide variety of landscapes and habitats in this region of the Kruger every day can be different, with rugged terrain around Lanner Gorge in the west, a big fever tree forest, and the Luvuvhu River floodplains in the east. The wildlife viewing is good, as is the birdlife.
