Phinda Homestead is situated in the 28,555 hectare Phinda Private Game Reserve in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal region. The reserve encompasses an impressive seven diverse ecosystems and an extraordinary range of wildlife, including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino.
Accommodation & Facilities
Phinda Homestead is a luxurious, sole-use villa, beautifully constructed from wood and thatch, and ideal for small groups or families. It comprises expansive sitting and dining areas and four generous suites, each equipped with en-suite facilities and decorated using a unique blend of contemporary chic and traditional African design. Nestled in the heart of the bush, The Homestead boasts stunning views which provide an atmosphere of utter tranquillity and seclusion, and delivers total privacy to its occupants, whether lounging on The Homestead’s vast decks or cooling off in the infinity pool. Guests are put further at ease by the presence of their own personal butler and chef who will cater to their every need, although the charm and beauty of The Homestead is sure to make guests feel at home regardless.
Wildlife & Activities
In addition to day and night game drives with highly knowledgeable &Beyond rangers and trackers, guests can enjoy bush walks, and black rhino tracking on foot. Rhino notching and elephant collaring are also offered on a limited basis at an additional cost. Phinda’s close proximity to the Maputaland coastline means that guests can enjoy beach activities such as snorkelling and scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and beach picnics. Horse riding is also on offer, along with visits to local villages, viewing turtle nesting sites, and sleep outs.
