Royal Malewane

Royal Malewane is a small luxurious lodge in the private Thornybush Game Reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park. The lodge is set in a grove of beautiful mature trees, which offer excellent shade and great tranquillity.

Accommodation & Facilities
Royal Malewane has eight spacious suites in all, accommodating no more than twenty guests. The suites are all decorated in a colonial style, and feature canopied king size beds, air-conditioning, fireplaces, free-standing baths by the windows, inside and outside showers, and a private plunge pool. The rooms incorporate a sitting room as well as the bedroom. Each suite is also set in privacy on its own deck, which also has a shady gazebo. with magnificent furnishings, Persian carpets and antiques throughout. The Malewane and Royal Suites have two bedrooms, a private dining and lounge area, and their own individual pools, a private butler & chef, private game drives and up to 4 complimentary massages per suite per day.

The main camp has African thatched-roof buildings housing the library, shop, dining and reception areas. There is also a new gym and a beautiful spa with internationally qualified in-house therapists. Guests can opt for a treatment at the spa or in their own room.

Wildlife & Activities
Royal Malewane has an excellent name for the quality of its guides and the wildlife viewing here is superb. The Thornybush Game Reserve is home to all of the big five as well as numerous other species. Game viewing is done mainly from the comfort of a specially modified Land Rover, while walks are possible on request. There also several additional activities on offer at extra cost such as ballooning, horse riding, golf, and visits to a cheetah sanctuary, and community visits.
