Savanna Lodge

Savanna Lodge is in the private Sabi Sand Nature Reserve which borders the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Located in a part of Sabi Sands with plenty of open grassland savanna, the lodge is renowned for its excellent cheetah sightings.

Accommodation & Facilities
Savanna Lodge has nine elegant and luxurious suites spaced out in the lush and beautiful gardens. The air-conditioned rooms have canvas roofs on top of solid permanent walls, and have a mini bar, kettle, and a writing desk. The en-suite bathrooms have inside and outside showers, and big bath tubs. Each suite also has a heated outside plunge pool and a spacious deck. Two suites are interconnecting and can be taken together to create a family room with a shared lounge and pool, and a private guide and safari vehicle. The lodge has a cosy two storey main building with lounge, bar and dining area, and a library and photographic centre upstairs. There is a lovely swimming pool in the gardens for relaxing during siesta time, and the lodge also has a spa.

Wildlife & Activities
With no boundary between the private reserves and the Kruger National Park, the wildlife viewing here is exceptional, and wildlife including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino is free to move in and out of the area. Highly experienced and knowledgeable rangers take guests out in open vehicles and on foot, and time is taken to enjoy the sights and sounds with the vehicle stopped and the engine off. Spa treatments and visits to local communities can also be arranged.
