Somalisa Expeditions

Somalisa Expeditions is an authentic bush camp set in the heart of Hwange, Zimbabwe’s largest National Park. It enjoys a very peaceful location beside a seasonal watercourse, far from other camps, and overlooks a waterhole.

Accommodation & Facilities
Somalisa Expeditions has six elegantly furnished tents with en-suite open air bathrooms, flush loo and bush shower. The tents are very private and set under a grove of huge camelthorn acacias.  Delicious meals are served in the tented mess area or on the deck outside.  A spacious deck provides wonderful opportunities to watch wildlife at the nearby waterhole, with elephants often choosing to quench their thirst from the small plunge pool rather than the waterhole.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities at Somalisa revolve around the abundance of local wildlife and include guided bush walks and game drives.  Known as one of Africa’s finest wildlife havens, and especially for its vast elephant herds, Hwange offers visitors the opportunity to view big herds of buffalo, lion, wild dog, white rhino and a wide variety of plains species.
