Tanda Tula

Tanda Tula Safari Camp is on the Western border of Kruger National Park in South Africa in the 20,000 acre private Timbavati Reserve. The reserve shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park allowing animals free range giving guests the opportunity to view the greatest diversity of wildlife that Africa has to offer.

Accommodation & Facilities
Tanda Tula has twelve large ‘East African’ tents with en suite bathrooms and a timbered deck overlooking lush riverine vegetation. The camp has lovely thatched lounge, bar and dining area as well as a pool. Meals are often eaten outside under the stars or in the shade of the trees. The camp has an elevated hide beside a waterhole, where sleep-outs are offered, and should be pre-booked.

Wildlife & Activities
Timbavati is home to a variety of wildlife including wild dog, big cats, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and numerous bird species. Wildlife is mostly viewed from an open vehicle, and also on foot with an armed ranger. This tends to be done in the early mornings and late afternoons when the animals are at their most active. Sleep-outs and longer walking safaris with a few nights of fly camping are also offered here, and must be pre-arranged.
