Little Sable

Little Sable has a peaceful location on the 200,000 ha Khwai Private Reserve, one of the best-managed and most pristine wildlife areas in Botswana. To the north are drier areas commonly associated with the Savute ecosystem. To the south lies the Khwai river accompanied by its lush vegetation deep water holes and ponds.

Accommodation & Facilities
Little Sable has eight Meru style tents, with ensuite bathrooms, outside showers, and a small private deck. The dining room, lounge and bar is under a thatched roof and sits in the middle of the camp on a large deck, with raised boardwalks extending either side to the tents, and a camp fire in front at ground level. The pool is set on a large deck with a two storey lounge beside it.

Wildlife & Activities
Khwai Private Reserve has an excellent wildlife population which includes lion, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, kudu, giraffe and waterbuck. The birdlife is also prolific thanks to the varied habitats in the area. Little Sable offers day and night drives, and motor boat and mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips when the water levels are at their highest from April through to October. There are also a number of sunken photographic hides for guests to use during the day.
