The Outpost

The Outpost is located in the northernmost sector of the Kruger National Park in the 24,000 hectare Makuleke region.  Set high on a hill the lodge affords wonderful views over the Limpopo and Luvuvhu River floodplains.

Accommodation & Facilities

The 12 en-suite bedrooms at The Outpost all have views over the Luvuvhu River and are connected by a raised walkway.  The rooms are designed in a contemporary style combining elements of steel and canvas.  The sides open completely to offer 180 degree views over the surrounding area.  Each of the rooms has an outdoor terrace, living room, bedroom with king sized bed and mini bar.  The bathrooms all have open showers and large baths with views.  Facilities at the lodge are completed by a bar, dining area, swimming pool, courtyard and lounge.

Wildlife & Activities

During a stay at The Outpost guests enjoy morning and afternoon wildlife drives with experienced guides.  This area is known for its large herds of buffalo and elephant and wildlife is abundant in this area offering guests the chance to see nyala and tsessebe amongst many other species.  Leopards are also occasionally seen in this area.
