Uncharted Africa Mobile Safari

Uncharted Africa has been operating safari camps and expeditions in Botswana for several generations, and its mobile safaris on the private Mapula concession in the Okavango Delta cover some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes in Botswana. These remote regions are teeming with wildlife and birds, and a mobile safari is a wonderful way to see the country and all it has to offer.

Accommodation & Facilities
An Uncharted Africa private mobile safari runs with a maximum of 14 guests accommodated in spacious Meru tents. Each luxuriously appointed tent is attractively furnished in a 1920s style and has a proper bed and an en-suite bathroom with flush loo and bucket shower. There is a central mess tent although most meals are taken as a picnic in the shade of a tree for lunch or under the stars for dinner.

Wildlife & Activities
Uncharted Africa mobile safaris offer superb wildlife viewing on day and night wildlife drives, mokoro safaris, and boat cruises. When the camp moves, guests can sleep under the stars in a fly-camp on an island in the Delta. Wildlife that is likely to be seen includes zebra, wildebeest, wild dog, cheetah, elephant, lion, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and giraffe, not to mention a myriad of birds. Uncharted Africa’s guides are excellent and will ensure you don’t miss a thing on your journey. Fishing is also possible between March and December.
