‘Well-situated’ by name and nature, Welgelegen Guest House is a boutique B&B located minutes from the centre of Cape Town and the vibrant Waterfront area. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Welgelegen consists of two Victorian Houses which stand back to back around a lovely courtyard garden. Elegantly decorated in an eclectic style with antique, African and contemporary pieces, there are 13 large, luxury en-suite bedrooms spread between two houses, separated by a courtyard with a family friendly plunge pool with built in steps. The rooms at the back have lovely views of Table Mountain and Lions Head. All rooms are fully air conditioned, and have a flat screen TV and mini bar. Bathrooms are modern with power showers and some have deep, claw footed baths. Breakfast is served at the guesthouse and for dinner, Kloof Street’s excellent selection of restaurants can be found just two minutes’ walk away.

Rooms 3 and 7 are best for families. Room 3 consists of a king sized (or twin) bed in main room and a ¾ bed in the enclosed veranda. The bathroom is shared. This room can accommodate two adults and one child. Room 7 consists of a king sized (or twin) bed and twin beds in an alcove. The bathroom is shared. This room can accommodate four people.

Eating & Sleeping
Breakfast includes fruit, muesli, cereal, yoghurt, milk, eggs and toast (as well as the cold meats and cheeses). Babysitting can be organised with 48 hours advance notice and is usually provided by one of the housekeeping ladies. Payment is made directly to them.

Activities
Welgelegen is in an excellent position from which to enjoy the city of Cape Town and explore the Cape Peninsula. The cable car to the top of Table Mountain is just a ten minute drive away.
