Often it’s more than obvious luxury that can make a safari extra special. Here are a few more unusual ideas that will enrich your holiday.
We want you to have the most fabulous holiday imaginable and will go to great lengths to make your dreams a reality. A great starting point is for us to visit you at home to give you a real flavour of all that is on offer.
Go behind the scenes.
Get involved with wildlife management and you become a participant in your safari as well as an observer. Rhino tagging, game census and capture, assisting the gorilla vets, visiting TUSK Trust projects, and cheetah research are among the options available.
Aardvark’s black book.
With a combined experience of over 100 years in the safari business our black book is full of ‘beyond reach’ contacts. We love a challenge so if you want to fish on Lake Turkana, take a private climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, explore with Masai warriors turned TV presenters, stay with San Bushmen in Botswana or other more unusual safari activities let us know and we’ll arrange it for you.
Pick and mix from an extensive list of ‘one offs’ to add to the experience – including: helicopter flip over the Okavango Delta, a scenic bi-plane flight in northern Kenya, private balloon trip over the Masai Mara or Serengeti, exclusive guided tour of Cape Town.
The camps and lodges we work with are all involved in conservation in some form or other. Wildlife management, research projects and education are key to protecting Africa’s precious wilderness and wildlife. If you want to explore supporting some of these initiatives we can put you in touch with the right people.
