Ras Kutani – now closed

** Ras Kutani is now closed.  Other caps in thearea you might consider are The Tides and Fanjove Island.**

A short flight south from Dar Es Salaam on the coast of Tanzania’s mainland, Ras Kutani has been the perfect spot for many of our guests to unwind for a few days. The beach is pristine and almost deserted and the rolling sea warm and brilliant blue.

Accommodation & Facilities
Ras Kutani is a small property with comfortable spacious rooms all overlooking the sea or lagoon. Each of the nine thatched cottages has its own en-suite facilities and hammocks on the verandah. The four hillside suites are elevated and each has its own private plunge pool. There is also a family hillside suite at the top of the hill offering two bedrooms. The spacious bar, dining room and sitting area provides a lovely space to relax and enjoy the sea views whilst having a drink or meal.

Activities
Snorkelling from the beach and kayaking can be arranged (dependant on tides), or why not try a forest walk around the lodge and lagoon great for spotting birds, butterflies and monkeys. The lagoon, situated behind the lodge, can also be explored by rowing boat or canoe. For those wishing to relax, there is a small spa and a lovely swimming pool with decked area and relaxation area.
