Turtles Have Arrived at Rocktail Beach

Want to play a part in turtle conservation while enjoying a beach holiday in a remote spot on the Indian Ocean? Rocktail Beach Camp between November and March may be the place for you, as leatherback and loggerhead turtles come ashore here to lay their eggs and two months later their hatchlings make a dash for the sea. Nightly beach drives give guests at the lodge a chance to join the turtle conservation team as they monitor and report on the laying and hatching turtles through the season, sharing their knowledge with interested guests.
